Robin paints his country at Walkara Homeland. This painting
depicts a rockhole - a naturally occuring depression in an
area of rock in which water collects. The rockholes are kept
clean so that water is drinkable. Knowlede and maintenance
of rockholes were essential to survival in traditional times.
Robin is an aboriginal elder and his traditional country
is Walkara, about 65 km south west of Fregon. He has lived
near or on his country all his life a saw a whiteman for the
first time when he was a teenager.
